The land of wonderful palaces, forts, colors and festivals truly gives an insight into historical India and its remarkable diversity. They are firm believers in the phrase: “Atithi Devo Bhava” means “The guest is equivalent to God”. Also, they have long preserved the living style and dressing style of their ancestors with unmatched grace.
Our 18 days itinerary of Best of Rajasthan takes us to explore the beautiful “The Land of Kings” Rajasthan and Delhi where our journey starts and ends followed by an overnight stay at Ranthambhore National Park which is one of the biggest and most renowned national parks in Northern India.

Itinerary
Arrival Day (216 m/709 ft)
Namaste!! Welcome to the beautiful and colorful country India. After following immigration and customs formalities at the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI) in New Delhi, we will be greeted by a representative from High Wonders Travel who will take us to our pre-booked hotel. After checking in, we take a rest or we may also stroll around. In the evening, there will be a welcome dinner hosted by High Wonders at a local restaurant. For dinner, you will be served excellent authentic North Indian cuisine which will introduce you to the North Indian food culture.
Guided Sightseeing
Post breakfast we will be taken for a city tour of Old and New Delhi. Today we will visit Jama Masjid which is known to be the largest mosque in India. This mosque was built by Shah Jahan and its construction started in 1844. We will also visit Red Fort, Chandani Chowk and Rajghat. Next, we head to visit Humayun's Tomb, Qutub Minar, President House, India Gate and Laxmi Narayan Temple which is also known as Birla Temple. Later, drive back to the hotel.
Explore Shekhawati Village (316 m/1,037 ft): 258 km, 6 hours
In the morning we drive to Mandawa. Mandawa lies in Rajasthan where affluent merchant class flourished greatly. On reaching we check-in to the hotel. Later, in the afternoon we visit the village Shekhawati. This place looks extremely beautiful as grand mansions (Havelis) of rich business class stand over its picturesque landscape.
Visit to Camel Breeding Farm (242 m/794 ft): 193 km, 4 hours
Post breakfast, we drive to Bikaner. On arrival check-in to our pre-booked hotel. In the afternoon we will proceed for an informative excursion of Camel Breeding Farm lined up where we come to know about the breeding time and international demand of the ship of the desert (camel). Also, you can taste camel’s milk and can enjoy a ride on a camel. Evening returns to the hotel and spends time at leisure.
Full Day Sightseeing
After breakfast at the hotel, we take a sightseeing tour of Bikaner. Here we visit the Junagarh Fort and the lovely Bhand Sagar Jain Temple. While dining, be prepared to be carried away by the taste of Bikaneri snacks and sweets served to you.
The Golden City (225 m/738 ft): 332 km, 5.5 hours
A drive will convey us to Jaisalmer lying at the center of the Great Indian Desert. On arrival check-in to the tent after which you can spend some time restfully in your private space or can stroll around to discover the colorful markets.
Full Day Sightseeing
The Blue City (231 m/758 ft): 285 km, 5 hours
Post breakfast, we drive to Jodhpur. Steering through the village roads, spectating the desert lands we will reach the destination and transfer to the hotel. Later, we visit Mandore Gardens (former capital of Marwar kingdom) and Umaid Bhawan Palace Museum (one of the world’s largest privately-owned residences by a king). Drive back to the hotel.
Visit to Kumbhalgarh: 223 km, 6 hours
At dawn start for Kumbhalgarh (cover 220kms in 5 hours) and check-in to the hotel on arrival. In Kumbhalgarh, we visit Kumbhalgarh Fort, where we can see several palaces, gardens, temples, etc inside the acreage. This fort was owned by the kings of Mewar and was used as a hideout in the times of emergency. Later, in the evening we drive to Ranakpur.
Drive to the City of Lakes (600 m/1,969 ft): 94 km, 2 hours
Ranakpur is a well-known town for Jain pilgrimage because of the location of Ranakpur Jain Temples here (made of white marble showcasing exemplary carvings craft). Visit the main shrine of Adinath (having a whopping 1,444 columns), Sun Temple etc. in the campus. Next, we drive to Udaipur, en route you can have a look at the agricultural practices adopted by locals. Check-in to our pre-booked hotel on arrival.
Guided Sightseeing
After breakfast, we proceed for a city tour of Udaipur by visiting City Palace complex prominent landmark of Udaipur. Then, we visit the famous pilgrimage site Jagdish Temple followed by Saheliyon-ki-Bari a beautiful garden. In the evening we take a boat tour at Lake Pichola. Later, drive back to the hotel.
Visit to Jag Mandir, City Palace and Fort. (271 m/889 ft): 285 km, 5.5 hours
In the morning we will drive to Kota. This town keeps a special place in history due to the palaces and temples situated here. Now also it is developing at a fast pace as a result of the Chambal River Valley Project (Kota is located along the banks of Chambal). On arrival, check in to the hotel. While here, we visit the Rao Madho Singh Museum, Jag Mandir, City Palace and Fort.
Ranthambore National Park (507 m/81,663 ft), En-route Visit Bundi, (268 m/879 ft): 193 km, 4.5 hours
We drive to Ranthambore, en route we visit Bundi. Bundi was ruled by Hada Chauhans’ clan and here the splendorous Bundi Fort (a very good remnant of Rajput architecture) is a not-to-miss place. Continue driving towards Ranthambore and evening will be marked with the arrival at Sawai Madhopur, the gateway to Ranthambore National Park. Check in to the hotel.
Drive to Pink City (431 m/1,414 ft): 155 km, 4 hours
Visit to Amber Fort, Jaigarh Fort and Nahargarh Fort.
We will spend two days in Jaipur - Rajasthan’s capital. On the first day, we visit the Amber Fort, Jaigarh Fort and Nahargarh Fort. These three forts were owned by Sawai Jai Singh II and have such a strategic location (situated on the hill of Aravalli) because Jai Singh wanted to keep an eye on Jaipur. The palaces, gardens inside the fort are spellbinding especially Sheesh Mahal in Amber Fort.
Pink City Full Day Sightseeing
On the second day, we take an excursion of the Pink City. We visit Jantar Mantar (one of the four astronomical observatories built by Sawai Jai Singh II but the best preserved), City Palace displaying art objects, royal wearables, weapons, etc. In the evening we explore local bazaars and personal activity. Drive back to the hotel and spend our last night in Jaipur.
Fly back to the Capital City: 1.5 hours flight
Today is the last day of our tour, after breakfast, we will be driven to Jaipur Airport to board the flight to Delhi. In the evening we will join a farewell dinner program hosted by High Wonders.
